JRx Wellness

JRx Wellness is more than physical fitness-it’s about the body and mind working together to create strength of spirit!

In order for people who are serious about fitness to take their training to the next level - focusing on physical strength and conditioning is just not enough. Instead, both the mental and spiritual aspects of wellness must also be considered so that they not only become BEYOND STRONG® for everything they love to do, but can feel that vibrance throughout all areas of their lives.

Whether the goal is to improve a golf or tennis game, to feel superhuman when playing with kids/grandkids or to just enjoy the challenge of doing more with less effort at the gym, the people I work with are recreational athletes, “weekend warriors” and just active people that want to be strong, healthy and injury-free.

JRx Wellness brings all the elements of wellness together-just like pieces of a puzzle. This healthy living system is for people who already have a foundation in fitness: They have often tried all the latest fitness trends and know tons of facts about what to eat and how to live a healthy life - yet they’re not happy with their results.

Other programs might teach new exercise techniques and provide ways to keep people from getting bored, but the magic of the JRx philosophy is in the details and how everything is blended together. With a focus on all the nuances of optimal movement and healthy living, the focus is on learning to pay attention to the details, from body mechanics to breathing patterns to emotions (mood) for a completely different kind of transformation.

Holistic Lifestyle Coaching

Using the 6 Elements as the foundation to move in a mindful way and refine body mechanics, establish healthy eating strategies, put rest/recovery practices in place and learn the intuitive listening skills necessary to tune into both body and soul.

The 6 Elements of Healthy Living:

  • handdrawn-star-01

    Movement

Developing mobility, stability, strength and power in all planes of movement with total body alignment prevents overuse injuries and promotes body control and energy efficiency.

  • handdrawn-star-01

    Mindset

Visualizing movements internally leads to performing them externally with accuracy. Picturing how you’ll look and feel after you’ve achieved a goal helps you achieve that goal!

  • handdrawn-star-01

    Breath

We take an average of 20,000 breaths a day and 100,000,000 breaths in a lifetime.  Breathing well while exercising helps you transfer those refined habits into your daily life.

  • handdrawn-star-01

    Hydration

Brain tissue is said to consist of 85% water. Drinking 1/2 your body weight in oz. daily helps the body avoid dehydration to think well and feel well.

  • handdrawn-star-01

    Nutrition

A meal is an “injection” that needs to include a variety of nutrient-rich foods to help you feel sharp and fuel an active lifestyle. Eat well to think well, feel well and move well.

    Sleep

The amount and quality of sleep impacts many of the systems in our body. Discovering methods to sleep better will help you with both physical and mental recovery.

Using a 6-10 inch ball and the weight of your body to free up restrictions in the body, rolling out sequences are blended with exercises that align and strengthen the body. It’s like a deep tissue massage you give yourself!

Bodyweight Training

Body Weight

Training

A fusion of calisthenics, ground-based natural movement and Pilates-inspired moves using only the weight of your body to develop true body control.

Resistance Training

Resistance

Training

Classic strength training is mixed with functional movement using dumbbells, kettlebells, resistive tubing and stability balls for a total body moving experience that creates “useful strength.”

Restorative Exercise

Restorative

Exercises designed to create balance in the 7 energy centers (zones) of the body combined with essential oil therapy, using the healing effects of essential oils to balance the mind, body and spirit.
