My Story

I’ve always believed that exercise and a healthy lifestyle was the best medicine. You might say that preventative medicine was in my blood coming from a medical family. In my early years, however, I’d push myself through pain and injuries because I thought I was training for health and fitness - when in fact, I was just reinforcing some counterproductive habits.

Even after studying Exercise Physiology in college, I really wasn’t aware of just how much this was affecting my body until I was in a car accident and was forced to slow down from a body in pain. This started me on a new path exploring anything and everything to do with injury prevention, mindful movement, optimum nutrition, personal development and alternative health.

What I found was that my fitness regimen was actually creating imbalances in my body and as I attempted to do all the “right” things for my body, my mindset was adding stress to my life. My goal was to create a blueprint that would bring all the elements of a holistic lifestyle together and the JRx method was the end result. It became my guide to a lifestyle that aligns body, mind and soul.

We are a system of systems, and for optimal health and well-being we need to be integrated: We need to be strong - inside and out!

Strength in the deep muscles that are close to the bones build a strong foundation for the physical body, but we also need flexibility and freedom of movement in the muscles and fascia surrounding the muscles to achieve a balanced body.  Combining all of this with a balanced “energetic body” is what creates strength of spirit!

Blueprint for health

The only way we can experience true health is to go beyond the focus on just the physical-and into a true understanding of the interconnection our minds, emotions, spirits and physical bodies.

My mission now is to not only teach people how to “work-out” better with mind/body connection, but to also teach people how to “work-in” with the necessary lifestyle changes that bring a sense of well-being (aka strength of spirit) into all areas of their lives.
